Our aim is to provide a direct link between the writers and readers of quality fiction and nonfiction while keep the operation of the site as simple as possible. WRD gives readers the chance to discover talented writers: all those newcomers as well as established writers who are not considered commercial enough to be risked by traditional publishers.
We welcome submissions from writers of fiction and non fiction. Every submission is considered and, if selected, uploaded onto the website. Readers can help maintain standards by awarding stars and writing reviews.
A further filter is in place. We can select work we think deserves special mention. We call this the WRD's eye view and apply an eye symbol to the title.
Mentoring
Susan Barrett, the originator of WRD, offers mentoring to first-time novelists : £300 for 20 hours spread over the course of the first draft of a novel. Apply to susie@writersreadersdirect.com.
